Breaking through: Nabiha “Never Played the Bass” (disco:wax/Sony Music)

This song by Nabiha, which Kai Lofthus/Dig Music promotes in Norway on behalf of the Copenhagen-based label disco:wax (distributed by Sony Music), kicked off Norwegian national radio broadcaster NRK P3′s Lydverket show last night! A great tune with which to dance your socks off…and maybe learn how to play the bass… PS. Listen and see if you can recognise which amazing ’80s tune that was elegantly segued into it.

Noirway: L’Heure Bleu (Photo Exhibition)

Noirway: L'Heure Bleu (Photo Exhibition)

On April 14th, Ole Marius Jørgensen opens his photo exhibition “Noirway: L’Heure Bleu”, with photos of 12 Norwegian film stars. Among the actors and actresses are Trond Espen Seim, Pia Tjelta, Ane Dahl Torp, and Kristoffer Joner.

The exhibition takes place at Galleri Ramfjord (Schwensens gate 1) in Oslo and lasts for a whole three weeks.

In addition to being an immensely talented photographer, Jørgensen is one half of the electronica duo Noirway (alongside Magnus “Mua” Utheim Anderssen; both published and marketed by Dig Music/Eco Creatives SA).

On the premiere day, there will also be a live set by Noirway! Link to Facebook event: https://www.facebook.com/events/193385240761066/

Reminiscing about the radio years!

Influenced by having watched too much (?) Sky Trax and Peter’s Pop Show, reading Bravo, Popcorn and Okej, and listened to (and worked in) radio when the presenters were still allowed to pick their own music!
